Yes Bank on Tuesday said the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has appointed former Deputy Governor R Gandhi as an additional director on the private lender's board. Gandhi, who served as RBI Deputy Governor from April 2014 to April 2017, has been appointed for a period of two years. He joined digital payments major Paytm as an advisor last year.

The inter-ministerial team, led by Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs Vivek Bharadwaj, will visit cyclone affected district of Puri, Cuttack and Khurda for three days in separate groups.
The team will hold a meeting with senior state government officials, including Chief Secretary A P Padhi before returning to Delhi.
After completing the visit, the team will submit its report to the Centre.
The death toll due to cyclone Fani rose to 64 with 21 fresh deaths confirmed on Sunday.
The Election Commission on Friday issued a fresh show cause notice to Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu for prima facie violating the model code of conduct by making alleged disparaging remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He has been given a day to reply to the notice.
The poll panel had received a complaint from the BJP that Sidhu, during a rally in Madhya Pradesh on April 29, had made disparaging comments about PM Modi.
